Cecilia and Stefan wanted to treat their family and friends from all over the world to a one of its kind experience, an elegant late summer party in Sweden. Kåseholm, with its unique style and beautiful outdoor spaces, was the perfect location for this event. As the couple's top priorities were food and excellent service, it made the venue choice even easier because Kåseholm works exclusively with the well known Michelin chef Daniel Berlin. If you know, you know.
To complement the venue and create the feeling of a late summer party, I chose to keep the color palette in neutral Scandinavian hues. Crisp white, cool beige, grey, black, and green gave the right elegant, timeless, and a bit edgy style that resonated with the couple. Custom made details like menus on white cotton paper with a modern script font in black, wild looking floral arrangements with summer blooms, ceramic candle holders, dark grey linen napkins, collectively crafted a beautiful setting in the Gallery barn and courtyard.
The festivities started with a welcome mingle outside in the lovely sunshine. The guests enjoyed champagne and delicious hors d'oeuvres while they admired the location and got to see familiar and new faces. A trio of talented musicians performed relaxing melodies under the sun. The guests were then invited into the Gallery barn to enjoy Daniel Berlin's fantastic seasonal sharing menu, paired with the most gorgeous wine. Everyone's taste buds were blown away!
As the sun went down, and the dinner went on, the scene transformed. The outside fire pits were lit up, giving a warm glow, and the courtyard lights started to illuminate the birch trees, creating another effectful atmosphere. As the dinner ended, the guests stepped into the courtyard, hearing party music coming out of the wood barn and colored lights were flashing in the darkness. It was time for cocktails and dancing!
